Sometimes I write things for The News Grind - a satire site that a friend of mine runs. Sometimes I try to be quite clever; sometimes I I don’t. The other day was one of those when I wrote a story called Cameron to bum Clegg, following the Lib Dem leader’s obsequious performance.
I’m under o illusions as to childish this is, but sometimes childish is funny. The story itself is weak stuff, but the starkness and wilful stupidity of the headline amused me.
So imagine how amused I was when I discovered that The News Grind is now being picked up by Google News and the story in question was nestling in amongst all sorts of straight-laced stories about the coalition, cuts, the march against the cuts and the pair’s relationship.
A proud moment for all involved. As The News Grind’s editor said, someone at Google must have a sense of humour.
